Tiger Cove
It is a place not very well known. In order to get there, people have to drive way out into the country past Louisburg. Big cat lovers are highly advised to take an afternoon trip and will find that they really enjoy that they did.
This place is called Cedar Cove. According to their website, they are a feline sanctuary and education center. There is also a $7 admission fee in order to fund what they do. There is a wide variety of felines ranging from small African Caracals to big lions.
Junior Jon Wakefield highly recommends that people go to Cedar Cove due to his good experience while there.
“People should really go there,” Wakefield said. “I liked that we were able to walk around and see the animals. The volunteers there really seemed to know what they were talking about. My favorite part was watching them feed the tigers. My experience was wonderful, there was a lot of space to move around and the animals were fascinating. We walked around with a tour and got inside info on the animals, like how they came to be there and why. It was cool seeing the people interact with them”
Janet Graham had been considering venturing to Cedar Cove for a long time.
“I had known about this place for about two years,” Graham said. “All of my family was here over the Thanksgiving holiday so I wanted to give them something fun to do. I wish I had brought my family here earlier when my kids were younger. It was a very cool experience to witness what kind of establishment they [Cedar Cove] are running.”
