Sibling Love
Another year, another round of new freshmen. Sibling rivalry clearly exists in many aspects of life, like sports and school. Success is a goal everybody aims for, especially if it means beating their big brother.
Being in school together again has caused some tension between siblings, given that high school is much different than elementary, which is the last time senior/freshman siblings were in school together.
“I enjoy going to school with my sister again,” freshman Avery Pollitt said. “It’s comforting to know that I have someone there who can help me whenever I need her.”
Senior Jessica Pollitt agrees with Avery.
“It’s a lot easier going to school together now,” Pollitt said. “I just wish I could see her more than just the one class we have together.”
Things aren’t always so great between the sisters though, when it comes to volleyball theres a bit of a tension in the air.
“It’s hard being in her shadow because she’s so good,” Avery said. “But it’s also a benefit because she can practice with me to make me better.”
Siblings can be a pain or they can be your best friend. Whether it’s good or bad, siblings have a huge impact on a persons life. It’s something people cherish no matter what.
