Foreign Exchange Student
Q&A with Elisa Marcheschi
Q: What is your name?
A: Elisa Marcheschi
Q: How old are you?
A: 17
Q: What country are you from?
A: France
Q: Is the school here different from the school back home? If so, in what ways?
A: The school in France is definitely harder than the school here. We don’t have much freedom to choose our classes in France, but here at BVSW, we do, and that’s one thing I like about this school.
Q: What do you hope to learn/achieve from the exchange program?
A: English! I want to learn more English and be more involved in the culture.
Q: Do you have any hobbies? What is your favorite subject?
A: I like to swim and I might join the team at Southwest. My favorite subject is any art class, especially drawing.
Q: What do you think about the lunches/food here? What is your favorite food?
A: The lunchtime is short and I usually bring my own lunch. I bring the same thing everyday, a chicken and cream cheese sandwich. My favorite American food is bagel and cream cheese and my favorite French food is bouillabaisse, which is like a fish soup.
Q: Is there anything you don’t like about Blue Valley Southwest?
A: Sometimes, it is hard to understand the teachers and the students.
Q: What job do you want in the future?
A: I want to go into the field of Marine Biology.
Q: Tell me about your family. Do you miss home?
A: I have a little sister who is fifteen years old. All my family including my extended family lives back in France. Yes, of course I miss home.
