Despite the weather conditions, Wolf Games 2013 prevailed. Although not the desired field day weather, the rain simply moved the annual event indoors.
The battle between the grades continued on, but not without complainants and comparisons to last year.
“I’d rather just have an assembly,” junior Bailey Barnhart said. “It’s stupid because nobody actually stuck around for Wolf Games this year, and the lack of participation this year compared to last was way lower.”
The schedule for the 2013 games differed from the year previous because instead of having Wolf Games during the allotted advisory spot and lengthening it, this year STUCO decided to move the games to the end of the day.
“I actually decided to leave school early and not stick around for the games this year,” sophomore Erica Christie said. “I felt like a lot of people chose to leave because their was nothing holding us back, unlike last year when we had to go to 6th hour after the games were finished.”
However, the drop in attendance of the upperclassman hardly affected the overall experience.
“I think that having it at the end of the day helped to weed out the people who really wanted to be here and the ones who didn’t,” junior Mati Moes said. “Besides not having socks to go on the inflatables with, this year was by far better than last.”
The upset of the freshmen winning might’ve changed some people’s view of Wolf Games 2013 but the actives and positive attitudes as a whole helped to make the games another success.
