Hey there! I’m Ellie Stewart and I am the web and sports editor for the Frontier this year! I am a senior (yay!) and also my second year on staff. Newspaper is pretty much my life and a good life to have! I plan on attending Pittsburg State University in the fall of 2012 to major in Journalism and I am super excited! Both my parents went to Pitt so it’s kind of a family tradition. Outside of school, I enjoy watching my favorite hockey team (Pittsburgh Penguins), playing hockey and hanging out with my family, friends and Alaskan husky named Juno. In school, I work for the paper (obviously) and I am a student mentor along with a track athlete (long jump, triple jump and javelin). My motto in life is keep calm and smile on! 🙂

'Sup Southwest? I'm Ellie Stewart, photographer for the Frontier. When I'm not running around the city taking beautiful pictures for the paper, I love to play hockey. That's right, ice hockey. The rough and tough Canadian sport that I have learned to love. I play and watch my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, faithfully. Other than hockey, I love to hang with my friends at Quick Trip (cherry Dr. Pepper, anybody?), listen to some good music and act like your average 16-year-old.
