On Thursday, April 21, the girls soccer team lost at Saint Thomas Aquinas 1-0. Aquinas took an early lead in the 13th minute of the first half after an Aquinas player scored from a shot in the box. Southwest had multiple chances in the second half to score off crosses into the box, but the game ended before the team finished an opportunity.

After the defeat, the team fell to 7-2-1 for the overall season.
