The boys varsity soccer team won 2-1 on Thursday, Sept. 24 against Pittsburg.
At the half, the game was tied at zero, but Pittsburgh was the first to score early in the second half. The boys equalized the game halfway through the second half after sophomore Ethan Diedel scored. Later, after receiving a penalty kick with 1:30 left in the game, senior Jacob Weaver converted the opportunity to make the score 2-1. After receiving a red card, Pittsburgh was short manned for the remainder of the game, and Southwest held on to a win.
