Almost all of us have had the same debate with our friends and classmates at some point in our academic careers; which color folder or spiral suits each core subject the best? This heated topic has been a source of conversation for many years with true answers yet to be found.
Let’s start off strong by pairing red and math together. Math definitely gives off warm tones, limiting the options to either red or yellow. To me, yellow is very mellow and relaxed as opposed to red. I don’t associate math classes with the same serene vibe that I get from the color yellow, hence the red match up.
Next, yellow and English should always be paired. As I stated before, yellow is mellow. I have always enjoyed my time in English classes because of how chill the teachers and overall vibe of the classrooms are. The color yellow seems like the obvious choice.
Something we can hopefully all agree on is science being associated with green. Name a more iconic duo than the color green being designated for all things science; it’s impossible.
Last, but not least, blue should be assigned to history. History has always had a very cool-color vibe to it, and with green being taken by science, blue is the default. Even though this match-up happened by circumstance, the color and subject together do make sense and complement each other nicely.
Choosing the correct color for each subject is imperative when it comes to keeping things organized. Obviously, this is just one opinion and you should stick to whatever color coordination works best for you. However, if organization isn’t something that comes naturally, feel free to try out this system.
