There were about 300 passes to sign kids out on Thursday May 2. The reason behind that? Wolf Games 2013.
I get it; we’re high schoolers and clearly have no time for childish antics. We have better ways to spend our time.
Except we don’t.
We’re already growing up way faster than any of us would like to, and if you think otherwise, you’re mistaken. We go to a school where we’re privileged enough to get to take time out of our classes and revert back to an event we used to have in elementary school – field day. Embrace it.
Maybe you just think it’s dumb.
Maybe you aren’t the most athletic kid.
Maybe you have those AP tests to study for.
But we all deserve a break. No matter how old, young, stressed, overwhelmed you may be.
There’s going to be plenty of time throughout your life to be serious and mature. High school doesn’t have to be one of them.
So, all of you Timberwolves that will still be here next year, I hope you can find the time to be goofy and silly and enjoy this break you’ve been generously offered.
Plus, you guys need to make sure the incoming Freshman class doesn’t win.
