Girls Basketball
The season started on Dec. 9 when the T-Wolves took on the Wyandotte Bulldogs winning 63-33 setting up a successful season. The team won 13 games and advanced to the Sub-State championship to play against Spring Hill on March 7. The final score was 54-63.
Boys Wrestling
The boys continued their dominance of the Eastern Kansas League, taking first for the fourth-straight year. The team placed third at Regionals and nine wrestlers qualified for State. Overall, the boys team placed third at State, with juniors Tad Forsyth and Ben Traw each being named State champions.
Dance
The Glitter Girls won their third 5A State title in a row, qualifying for Nationals in Orlando at the Universal Dance Association. There they placed eighth in Jazz, 11th in pom and ninth in Game Day.
Bowling
This year the bowling team had a student qualify for State. Junior Jacob Bretton bowled a 675 series at Regionals that allowed him to compete at State.
Boys Swim & Dive
On Jan. 27, junior Dane Weninger set a new school record for the 200-yard freestyle. That same day, the 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting of seniors Topher Thompson, Jack Kemp, Ben Christmann and Weninger broke the school record. The state team finished third overall with many podium places with a 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting of junior Hank Rong, Weninger, Thompson and Kemp placing first and breaking the school record for a second time.
Boys Basketball
Starting Dec. 6, the team went on to play a total of 21 games and won 7 of them. The team averaged 56.9 points per game, having many close-scoring games. They played their final game against Bonner Springs in the Sub-State playoffs losing 44-59 on March 5.
Girls Wrestling
In January, senior Brynn Lowe became the first girls wrestler in the BV district to get 100 career wins. Later, senior Karoline Kendall also achieved this feat. At Regionals, four girls qualified for State where Lowe placed fourth and Kendall won in her weight class.
