The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced 58 Blue Valley seniors were named National Merit semifinalists. Fifty-eight is the most semifinalists in a Kansas school district this year. Five Blue Valley Southwest students are recognized as National Merit semifinalists. Two Blue Valley Southwest students are recognized as National Merit Commended.
