Irina’s Gourmet Bakery bring plenty of smiles to Overland Park
What’s your favorite sweet treat?
A cupcake a day, makes the doctor go away. Well, let’s hope anyway.
“Fruit tarts have to be one of my favorite things in the shop,” said Gleb, Manager of Irina’s Gourmet Bakery, 119th St. “If I had to eat one thing though, it would not be chocolate. Not a healthy diet, but the cinnamon rolls. She [Irina, Owner of the bakery] makes great cinnamon rolls”.
Irina is a woman who accomplished her goal of opening up her own bakery. She can make almost anything.
From coffee to fruit tarts to cinnamon rolls to baklava, just ask. She can make it. One of the most famous sweet treats is their red velvet cupcakes.
Red velvet cupcakes are very simple to make.Get an oven, red food coloring, cocoa powder, the basics of cakes, and you have yourself a delicious treat. Just make sure it has Cream-Cheese frosting on it for the best results.
Students, parents, people of all ages can agree that having some sweets is a must once in a while.
“Red velvet cupcakes because they are so good and scrumptious that you can’t just not eat them!” said freshmen Mikayla Frey. “Even on a regular day I’d still eat them.”
What can be better than some moist red velvet cupcakes, ice cream, cookies, chocolate and doughnuts on a relaxing rainy day? That’s what some freshmen students of Blue Valley Southwest said.
“Anything with chocolate. Chocolate mousse, chocolate cookies, plain ol’ chocolate, anything chocolate.” said freshmen Sydney Howe.
Everyone can agree that having some fresh sweet treats and desserts can brighten up some people’s day.
Maybe that’s what we need in to make the world a better place. Like they say, a cupcake a day makes the doctor go away.
“Sweet treats make everything better; whether you’re in a bad mood or having the best day of your life.”
