Are you a Christian student here at BVSW? Would you like to meet other people just like you and share in your faith? Then FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is the club for you.

FCA meets every Wednesday before school in the Fixed Forum at 7:00 until about 7:40AM. It is available to any student of all grade levels. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be an athlete to join either. It is a student-led club that begins with a group prayer and then everybody splits up into smaller groups of 10-12. Once in the groups, the leader has a pre-planned lesson that varies from week to week. Feel free to join any time.

Junior Breezie Pederson has thus far attended attended every meeting. She is really excited about this club and how it affects other students.

“I decided to join [FCA] because I wanted to meet new people and fellowship with other believers,” Pederson said. “It is so important to spend time with other people who encourage you to grow in your walk [of faith]. I plan on attending FCA every week. I’m so excited to see how God moves through FCA and the students at Southwest this year.”

Senior Sarah Dodd is also a member of FCA and wants to continue to be involved.

“I definitely want to attend every meeting that I possibly can,” Dodd said. Seeing all of these people brought together and furthering their faith in God is an amazing thing.”
