May. The last month of school. A school draws to a close, students minds wander to thoughts of summer, a summer full of sun, friends and freedom. We are so enticed by the freedom of summer that we fail to notice one last fun event left in the school year. I am talking about the annual grad party circuit.
With the twilight of their high school years drawing to a close, many seniors throw graduation parties, a sometimes formal/sometimes not event where family and friends come together to celebrate a student’s graduation from high school.
“It’s a respectable way to say goodbye,” senior Tommy Swickard said.
With many seniors throwing graduation parties, a lot of students can be overwhelmed by all of the dates and times. Luckily, there are steps that one can take to ensure that one enjoys a stress free grad party circuit.
TIP #1: Organization
There is no worse feeling than feeling disorganized, so keeping a planner that holds all of the dates and addresses can do wonders for an aspiring grad party attendee.
TIP #2: Preparedness
While on the grad party grind, you are almost guaranteed to consume an inhumane amount of food. While it doesn’t heal your confidence, Antacids like Tums or Pepto-Bismol can do wonders for a stomach assaulted by plates of orange chicken and the aftermath of a Make Your-Own-Taco bar.
While driving around to awesome parties and eating free food may sound difficult, one must always make sure to keep pushing forward. If it means having an awkward conversation with a random partygoer or throwing a polo over your man tank, know that sacrifices must be made for the greater good. The sense of accomplishment you will feel will surpass it.
