Q: How long have you been teaching?

A: This is my third year teaching.

Q: What brought you to Southwest?

A: I moved down to the area because my fiance got a job working here. I was looking for schools in the area and Blue Valley seemed like a great place to be.

Q: What do you like about teaching at Southwest?

A: Probably the people are my favorite thing. I really love the colleagues that I work with, everybody is super supportive and the students that I get to work with every day are really fun. I enjoy getting to know them and building relationships with them.

Q: What are you looking forward to this year?

A: I am looking forward to helping my students become more confident and successful in math.

Q: What college did you attend?

A: I went to Indiana University.

Q: Why did you choose to be a teacher?

A: I know that a lot of kids have math anxiety when they come into their math class and I wanted to help them feel more confident about what they are doing so they know that anybody can do math.

Q: What’s a fun fact about you?

A: I grew up as a tap dancer.
