Social studies teacher Matt Christensen shows his enthusiasm for Constitution Day.

“It’s National Constitution Day,” Christensen said. “all schools are supposed to celebrate Constitutional angles and issues so that students have a better appreciation for their government.”

Christensen’s enthusiasm for teaching is present not just for a day like today.

“I like teaching and learning together as a group,” Christensen said. “I like students to be interactive and engaged.”

With his interactive and engaging teaching style, Christensen’s said his goal is to have a classroom full of big ideas.

“I think thinking creates learning,” Christensen said. “The more I impose thought-provoking questions and challenge people to think about why things happen, or what the importance is in their lives today, I think you get a better understanding.”
